Admission: It's FREE! Every
one is welcome even if you don't drum.
The Idea: Let's put a drumming session square in the middle of a classical piano recital. We will drum and improvise as we would in a Drum Circle except we will be doing it with a Grand Piano in the mix! Inspired dancers are welcome to dance to the beat. I am giving a Piano Recital and, as a semi-regular drummer, would like to experiment with the idea of combining Drumming with Piano improvisation. Your participation will be much appreciated. Come drum, have fun, and see what comes out of this experiment.
Bring your own drum, for this experiment simply will not happen without enough drummers and drums showing up. Do not be concerned that drumming is not scheduled on the published Program as we will schedule it on the fly depending on drummer and audience turn out.
What's In It For You: You will get to (1) experiment with potentially bringing about a new form of fusion music, (2) share drumming with a classical music crowd who might otherwise not get exposed to drumming, (3) enjoy the rest of the Piano Recital, and (4) have fun!
